The dark snakehead bears a striking resemblance to the northern snakehead, commonly known as fishzilla.
Those who have kept both species say that the dark snakeheads tend to be more docile than northern snakeheads and rarely display aggressive behavior behind the glass.
However, given their longer snout, it's likely the depend less on their vision. Therefore, what keepers perceive as "more docile" might simply be a case of poor vision.
