The regal tang will reach its bright yellow tail into intricate coral branches and use the branches as leverage to anchor itself.<br>
When an intruder threatens to drag it out of the coral, it will "play dead" by tilting to one side while still hooked onto the coral.<br>
This behavior has earned it the odd nickname "hanging fish."
