Golden Rainbow Trout is an Aquatic Creature in Petit Planet.
Scientific Name: Oncorhynchus mykiss
Golden rainbow trout are a selectively bred variant of rainbow trout distinguished by their golden coloration, while their other biological traits remain unchanged.
This golden coloration is a dominant trait, meaning it can persist even through crossbreeding with other trout species, with offspring often inheriting the same hue. As a result, a golden rainbow trout caught in the wild is not necessarily a "24k" golden trout.
