Please don't release black tilapia back into rivers. Soon enough, it'll be all that you'll see.
What a catch! My first Black Tilapia! It looks a bit like a sea bream.
Black Tilapia is an Aquatic Creature in Petit Planet.
Omnipedia
Scientific Name: Oreochromis mossambicus
Black tilapias belong to the Cichlidae family and are often marketed as "freshwater porgies" due to their resemblance to fish from the Sparidae family.
However, black tilapia are highly salt-tolerant and can live in brackish or even seawater. Therefore, it isn't entirely impossible for someone to catch a "freshwater porgy" from the ocean.
