The rose danio's brilliant coloration is only on full display under very specific conditions. Otherwise, it looks just like an ordinary and unremarkable rice paddy fish.
For the longest time, this extraordinary little fish went unnoticed, but as the saying goes, "gold will always shine." Once discovered by "talent scouts," the rose danio's value naturally skyrocketed.
