The beautiful banded coral shrimps are typically kept in captivity as cleaning shrimps.
While their keepers hope they'll help remove parasites from fish, once in captivity, the coral shrimps often change their feeling strategy and compete for fish feed instead.
This competition over food and territory might even lead to them biting and killing other cleaner shrimps in the process. Quite the temperamental beauty, indeed.
