Flat as a rock, tough as one too.
What a catch! My first Flat Rock Crab! Look at those bare "hands"!

Omnipedia
Scientific Name: Percnon planissimum
The flat rock crab got its name for its flat appearance.
Some scholars believe it evolved smooth claws to better scrape algae off reefs.
As the crab matures and grows in strength, these smooth claws become deadly weapons for hunting small fish and invertebrates.
