"Fist crab" sounds intimidating, but it's only as big as a bean.
What a catch! My first Pea Pebble Crab! Gloves on, ready to thow pincers!
Despite having claws like a boxer's gloves, when faced with danger, it just plays dead instead.
Pea Pebble Crab is a Shore-Dweller Creature in Petit Planet.
Omnipedia
Scientific Name: Pyrhila pisum
When the Pea Pebble Crab is threatened, it flops to the ground and becomes motionless, "abandoning all hope" in the face of danger.
This lethargic attitude extends to other aspects of its life too, as it prefers scavenging dead fish, shellfish, and crabs on the beach over hunting live prey.
