This template uses Module:Lang, a script written in Lua.

This template is a shorthand for formatting French text by using {{Lang|mini = 1}} as a base and automatically setting the French text in italics.

Syntax

All fields are optional except the French text.
{{Fr|French text|tl = Translation of the French text|lit = Literal Translation of the French Text}}

Examples

{{Fr|Pomme de terre|tl = Potato|lit = Apple of [the] earth}} yields:
Pomme de terre "Potato," lit. "Apple of [the] earth"
