This template uses Module:Lang, a script written in Lua.

This template is a shorthand for formatting German text by using {{Lang|mini = 1}} as a base and automatically setting the German text in italics.

Syntax

All fields are optional except the German text.
{{De|German text|tl = Translation of the German text|lit = Literal Translation of the German Text}}

Examples

{{De|Auf Wiedersehen|tl = Goodbye|lit = Until our reunion}} yields:
Auf Wiedersehen "Goodbye," lit. "Until our reunion"
