What a catch! My first jewel beetle!
The jewel beetle gets so distracted by tasty tree sap that it can barely move.

It is found in the Omni-Gallery in the Forest Insects section.

Although jewel beetles do not have the kabuto beetle's magnificent horn, they already have a sharp mandible in their larval stage that can directly creack tree barks.
Lacking any visible "weapons" yet still causing massive "damage," the saying "never judge a beetle by its horn" couldn't be more true.
