Omnipedia
[edit | edit source]Omni-Gallery — Garden Zone
Scientific Name: Phocides polybius
A Guava Skipper emerges with crumpled-up wings. It takes time for hemolymph to pump into its wing veins to fully expand them.
During this stage, with its red head and dark blue body, the Guava Skipper can easily be mistaken for a giant fly.
