A big guy with a sweet tooth.
What a catch! My first Goliath Beetle! It's a sugar lover.
When it was young, though, it preferred protein.
Goliath Beetle is a Land Creature in Petit Planet.
Scientific Name: Goliathus goliatus
To store more energy, Goliath beetle larvae prefer protein-rich foods. Their indiscriminate appetite for protein means they'll readily accept fishing bait and even pet food like dog kibble.
However, once they metamorphose into adult beetles, they develop an exclusive "sweet tooth" for nectar, fruits, and the like.
