About

May the hat I made keep good luck over your head each day.

Let me take a look at your head... What a perfect shape!

People usually know their shoe size, but hat size? Not so much.

A hat protects the good luck that rests on your head. May I take your measurements and make one for you?

Dorjelang is a Neighbor in Petit Planet.

Profile

At his stall, the burly Dorjelang sits as still as a mountain, entirely absorbed in his craft.

Finishing his latest hat, he gazes up at the boundless rosy clouds rolling in with the dusk — Today is yet another astonishing day.

May this hat bring good fortune to its new owner. Tashi delek.

Trivia

• Dorjelang's animal features are similar to those of the Yak.

Etymology

• Dorjelang's name drives its inspiration from Tibetan with the first part of his name རྡོ་རྗེ། rdo-rje, meaning "diamond" or "indestructible" and referencing the dorje (also known as vajra), a ritualistic tool in Tibetan Buddhism. Dorje is also a common male given name in Tibet. The second part of his name, ལང lang, means "to rise".
• Tashi Delek (བཀྲ་ཤིས་བདེ་ལེགས) is a common Tibetan greeting. The first part བཀྲ་ཤིས tashi can be translated into "auspicious" while the second part བདེ་ལེགས delek means "well" or "fine". This expression can be understood as "Blessings and good luck".
