Dorjelang's name drives its inspiration from Tibetan with the first part of his name རྡོ་རྗེ། rdo-rje, meaning "diamond" or "indestructible" and referencing the dorje (also known as vajra), a ritualistic tool in Tibetan Buddhism.^[3] Dorje is also a common male given name in Tibet.^[4] The second part of his name, ལང lang, means "to rise" in Tibetan.^[5]
