The fire urchin is entirely bright red with blue bioluminescent spots that flicker like starlight in its center. Though strikingly beautiful, being pricked by its spines causes an intense burning pain. Because of this, many crabs will carry fire urchins on their back, turning them into their personal "flame shield".
