The adult Jade Baron is extremely beautiful, but its larvae have astonishingly exaggerated spikes that, from a distance, can even be mistaken for a green centipede.
With this unique larval form, when they crawl on leaves, they almost perfectly align with the leaf's veins, avoiding detection by predators this way.
