Sunset Moths are diurnal moths.
Initially biologists classified them as swallowtail butterflies due to their rod-like antennae. It wasn't until more details were discovered in specimens that they were discovered in specimens that they were properly categorized in the Uraniidae family.
Such mix-ups due to species looking too similar are actually quite common in biological taxonomy.
