==Trivia==
* Liu Wei personally explained the origin of the name '''miHoYo''' at the 2019 campus recruitment of Zhejiang University.<ref>{{zh|一久城}} (October 12, 2019). [https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1WE411Z79j/ {{zh|【米哈游校招2019】大伟哥现场宣讲！杭州浙大校园招聘会}}]. Bilibili. Retrieved August 11, 2026.</ref>
** '''H''' and '''Y''' are the initials of the names of two of the co-founders, Cai '''H'''ao'''y'''u and Luo '''Y'''u'''h'''ao.
** '''HoYo''' is due to the idea that popular companies use two of the letter "O" (e.g. Google, Microsoft, Facebook).
** '''mi''' was added due to '''HoYo''' already being registered, borrowing from the name {{w|Hatsune Miku}}.
