{{Omnipedia Entry
|location = Intertidal Zone
|sname = Hexagonaloides bathyalis
|text = The deep-sea coral crab remains a mysterious species.
Generally, coral crabs live in symbiosis with coral in near-shore coral reef areas. However, deep-sea coral crabs were first discovered in depths exceeding 200 meters.
Exactly what led to their separation from their kin and their dive into the depths remains a topic for research.
